Media Astra Ac Terra Episode 6

By sphinxwords

The new episode of Media Astra Ac Terra has just gone online! It’s episode #6, and it’s a little under 35 minutes long. The Astra segment is about the constellation and sign of Taurus the Bull, while the Terra segment is about the structure of the planet Earth. Then in the main show I talk for a while about grounding. So, a very earthy show all around!

The Terra segment is the only one I have some links for – I mentioned some sites I had found with more information and some fun animations about the movement of the Earth’s tectonic plates.

So, first up is Plate Tectonics.com. They’ve got links to a tectonic globe, an archive of articles, and a whole book on the subject you can read online.

Then there’s the PALEOMAP Project, at the University of Texas at Arlington. They’ve got a number of different maps, plus those animations I mentioned that show you how the plates are believed to have moved in the past, and how they’re expected to move in the future. Neat stuff!

For the rest of that segment I relied heavily on Wikipedia to bolster and fact-check my memory of university classes taken 15+ years ago. Here’s their article about plate tectonics, and the one about the structure of the Earth.

Oh yes — in this episode I played a promo for Lakefront Pagan Voice, another Pagan podcast I listen to. Scarlet comes across sounding thoughtful and relaxed, and she also adds a nice local touch to her shows. Even though I don’t live anywhere near Wisconsin, I still enjoy hearing about other parts of the country. So if you’re looking for another podcast, I hope you’ll give her a listen!

As always, thanks for listening to Media Astra Ac Terra.

Bright and dark blessings,
